Sherry Thomas joined Synergy Global in 2010 as our Team Leader – USA (East) working in partnership with Dr Susan Dixon our Team Leader – USA (West). Sherry brings over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry including office management, billing, collections, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 & HCPCS coding. She has also assisted in minor surgical procedures, as well as running front desk, laboratory, x-ray & medical assistant duties. Sherry developed, authored & teaches the Certified Coding Professional (CCP) curriculum, the certification exam & the study guide to the certification exam. She also provides one-on-one professional assistance to physicians & their staff for all specialties; related to ICD-9, CPT & HCPCS coding & documentation. The quality of her leadership in this area has led to her being invited to provide expert witness in legal matters related to Fraud & Medicare/aid Abuse.
