Diane Hewat joined Synergy in 2009 as Team Leader - Culture, & based in Melbourne, VIC, AUS, has an important Mentor Coaching role with our Asia Pacific Team.
Having started her career in IBM, where she was trained to assimilate into corporate customer cultures, her appetite was whetted for working out better approaches to “the way things are done around here” . She has lived, observed, studied & guided people through their personal perspectives to different international & corporate cultures. In the past she ran her own project management consultancy with Microsoft as her anchor client - today they remain are one of Synergy’s major clients.
Diane specialises in guiding individuals & teams through international or organisational culture change. She was an integral part of the Procter & Gamble International Transferees Inc. Executive Team which researched, delivered, improved & evaluated cross cultural experiential workshops.
She has contracted as a Global Skills Trainer to IOR Global Services; provided transition coaching through organisational cultural changes brought about during outsourcing initiatives in WorkCover South Australia; worked with individuals transitioning through outplacement from Holden’s, Mitsubishi & Clipsal & managed projects in EDS.
Diane works at all levels of organisations, across the private, public & voluntary sectors, with individuals ranging from GenY graduates to high flying executives in the top Fortune 50 companies. She focuses on win-win outcomes for the individual & the organisation, using a number of leading edge tools & techniques to ensure relevance to individual’s backgrounds, situation & ability to expand their personal capacity while achieving their personal & professional best.
Her projects are invariably highly visible, strategically imperative, image critical & budget-challenged which have a huge impact on profitability & the ongoing sustainability of the organisation. She is passionate about measuring results & works with clients to seek out qualitative & quantitative metrics which are meaningful to profitable business transformation.
