Client Issue: Specialty physician in a solo hospital-based practice requested assistance in complying with the terms of the Integrity Agreement reached with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).
Solution: Determined policies & procedures required for implementation plan submission, including steps for full compliance program for the practice. Completed an internal review of the organisation, including the billing & claims submission services to support training initiatives. Synergy then worked with the physician to coordinate all responses to inquiries related to the Integrity Agreement by Board of Medical Licensure, liability insurance carrier, third party payors, & hospital credentialing inquiries.
Outcome: Submission of all documents to support Integrity Agreement with the OIG & all related inquiries. Facilitated restoration of billing & claims submission services to achieve cash flow back into the practice & completed all education & training to support compliance program implementation.
