Facilitation of Conference on Healthy Foods using ZING
Groupware, Dept of Human Services, VIC (AUS)
Client Issue: The Dept of Human Services (DHS) is committed to ensuring that all Victorians have access to quality services that protect & enhance the community's physical, mental & social wellbeing.
They are Victoria's largest state government department & cover the responsibilities of the Ministers for Health, Mental Health, Community Services & Housing. DHS directly employs more than 11,500 people & funds organisations such as hospitals, aged care facilities, ambulance services & community service agencies that collectively employ more than 80,000 people. They are responsible for planning, funding & delivering health, community & housing services in line with the government's vision for making Victoria a stronger, more caring & innovative state.
Solution: Synergy was given an hour to pull together the threads of a 2 day conference on how to position Victoria as a major exporter of healthy foods. Involving 12 of the main speakers as ‘lead thinkers’ Max Dumais Synergy captured their thinking by giving each a keyboard from our ZING groupware; he then invited the remaining audience of 200 to contribute by adding to what these ‘lead thinkers’ may have missed.
Outcome: A succinct report was prepared for the client promptly so that they could circulate the outcomes from the conference to related stakeholders & begin implementation of the ideas.
