In transport they are N° 1 in very high-speed trains (574.8 kph), high speed trains & tilting trains & N° 2 in urban light rail & tram systems, commuter & regional trains, services, signalling & systems. In power they are N° 1 in turnkey power plants; in hydro turbines & generators; in service for utility power generation; & in air quality control systems with the broadest product offer. One in four of the world’s light bulbs is currently powered by Alstom technologies. They work with all energy forms (coal, gas, nuclear, fuel-oil, hydropower, wind)  & are leaders in environmental protection (reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions) & are currently developing CO2 capture processes that could lead to commercial scale by 2011. Alstrom have always been a progressive client & in 2000 they requested help with the creation/clarification of organisational values to align the culture from two newly merged organisations.

Solution: Interviewed global management team on readiness for change. Prepared & presented reports for top 3 executives.

Outcome: Created & presented report on values linked to competency framework to HR team & advised on implementation plan.
